Abstract

When I heard the term ‘due process’ as a law student, I could understand its meaning. But can you and I understand the plight of a common person if we add ‘algorithmic’ before it? Therefore, an explanation. ‘Algorithmic due process’ means the application of basic fairness rules by governments or private entities to decisions made using algorithms. As they remain transparent and accountable. This power of application lies with the people in spite of AI. The rights of individuals cannot be compromised. In a country of approximately 1.4 billion people, each individual has almost access to AI through their phones, tablets, and laptops.
