Abstract

Machine Learning (ML) has become a powerful technological tool in modern fraud detection systems by enabling organizations to identify suspicious activities, analyze large volumes of transactional data, and prevent financial and digital fraud in real time. Traditional fraud detection methods often relied on manual monitoring and rule-based systems, which were limited in handling complex and evolving fraudulent behaviors. Machine learning technologies improve fraud detection capabilities through automated pattern recognition, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and adaptive learning processes. the role of machine learning in fraud detection systems and examines its impact on financial security, cybersecurity, digital transactions, and organizational risk management. various machine learning techniques used in fraud detection, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, neural networks, decision trees, clustering algorithms, and deep learning models. These intelligent systems analyze transactional behavior, customer activities, spending patterns, and historical fraud data to identify irregular or potentially fraudulent activities with high accuracy. Machine learning algorithms continuously improve their performance by learning from new data and adapting to emerging fraud patterns.
