Abstract

Algeria witnessed the emergence of several printing houses that provided a powerful impetus to cultural activity. These establishments were not limited to the Arabic language but specialized in both Arabic and French, covering various aspects of life. Furthermore, they kept pace with the lived experiences of Algerian society during the French colonial era (1830–1962).

This article, titled "Algerian Printing Houses during the Colonial Era (1896–1954)," aims to explore these institutions and their impact.
