Abstract
Industry 5.0 represents a paradigm shift from technology-driven industrial automation toward a human-centric, sustainable, and resilient manufacturing ecosystem. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key enabler of this transformation by integrating intelligent decision-making, predictive analytics, collaborative robotics, and real-time data processing with human expertise. the evolving role of AI in Industry 5.0, highlighting its potential to enhance productivity, innovation, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability while maintaining the central role of human workers AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and digital twins, and analyzes their applications across manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and smart supply chains. Furthermore, the paper discusses the challenges associated with AI adoption, including ethical concerns, cybersecurity risks, workforce reskilling, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and implementation costs. identifies emerging trends such as explainable AI, edge intelligence, generative AI, autonomous systems, and human-AI collaboration that are expected to shape the future of Industry 5.0. Based on a comprehensive review of recent literature, the paper concludes that AI will play a transformative role in creating intelligent, sustainable, and resilient industrial ecosystems that balance technological advancement with human well-being.
