Abstract

The smartphone market has become highly competitive due to rapid technological advancements, increasing product variety, and continuously changing consumer expectations. In the modern digital era, smartphones have transformed from basic communication devices into multifunctional platforms that support education, entertainment, online banking, professional activities, social networking, and personal lifestyle management. As a result, smartphone manufacturers are facing intense competition to attract and retain customers by offering innovative features, improved performance, competitive pricing, and enhanced user experiences. Understanding consumer buying behaviour has therefore become essential for smartphone companies to develop effective marketing strategies and achieve sustainable growth. This study analyses the various factors affecting consumer buying behaviour towards smartphone brands and examines their influence on purchase decisions. The research focuses on key determinants such as brand image, perceived product quality, price sensitivity, technological innovation, social influence, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty. Brand image plays a significant role in shaping consumer perceptions and trust, while perceived quality influences expectations regarding product performance, durability, reliability, and overall value. Price sensitivity reflects the importance of affordability and value for money, especially in a market where consumers compare multiple brands before making purchase decisions. Technological innovation, including advanced camera features, artificial intelligence capabilities, battery performance, processing power, and connectivity options, has emerged as a major factor influencing consumer preferences.
