Abstract

The area of rehabilitation has recently seen the emergence of virtual reality (VR) as a potentially valuable tool. It offers a dynamic and engaging setting that could inspire patients to actively participate in their care. ln order to find out if rehabilitation programs that use virtual reality (VR) help stroke patients with their physical and cognitive abilities. Metrics like motor function, balance, gait, and quality of life were the focus of our extensive literature and clinical trial review. Researchers found that compared to more conventional methods of treatment, virtual reality (VR) therapies significantly enhanced motor recovery and balance. Virtual reality (VR) therapies can be tailored to each client's unique needs, and it promotes neuroplasticity as well. Despite its numerous benefits, several challenges have been identified, such as cost, accessibility, and patient compliance. While there is significant potential in VR-based rehabilitation, more large-scale experiments are needed to establish standardized protocols and assess its long-term effectiveness. the significance of new technologies in improving patient outcomes and radically altering the course of stroke rehabilitation.
