Abstract
Bilingual education in multilingual societies like India presents both significant benefits and challenges. This research paper explores the advantages of bilingual education, such as cognitive development, cultural preservation, and economic opportunities, as well as the obstacles, including resource constraints, linguistic hierarchies, and policy implementation. By examining case studies and academic research within the Indian context, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of bilingual education's role in enhancing educational outcomes and social cohesion.
